A Magical Journey Inside Our Body: Why Our Cells Deserve Our Love and Good Food Everyday. Please Love Your Cells!!!

Love your cells feed them well every day!

Sometimes, we run behind medicines, tablets, and hospitals… but forget the real truth  our body itself is the best doctor we already have. The amazing thing is, every small cell inside us is like a tiny world, doing its job without any complaint, day and night. But only if we give it what it needs  proper food, love, rest, and care.

When I studied Biology in school, I remember reading about DNA and cells, but honestly, I never understood it this deeply. Only after listening to this topic “Journey inside the Cell,” I felt like I really travelled inside my own body.

Our teacher explained it in such a simple way  like how we compare our body to a car. Imagine a car if we pour one litre petrol with ten litres diesel, little sand and mud  will the car move? Never! It will stop right there. Same with our body. When we eat wrong food at wrong time, junk items like bajji, bonda, late-night spicy snacks… our system gets confused. Then we say, “Oh, my head is paining, my stomach is bloating, my back is hurting.” But actually, our poor body is just saying  “Hey! Please stop hurting me!”

How Beautifully Our Body Works:

Inside our body, there are trillions of cells, and every single one is like a small city.
Each cell has its own membrane, nucleus, DNA, and so many small parts that do their duties sincerely. DNA is like a “software” written by nature  it tells the cell what to do, when to divide, and how to grow. Without it, we cannot even blink properly.

Our teacher also explained how a baby forms  how the female and male cells join, how beautifully life starts from one single cell. I felt goosebumps when I realised how perfectly nature designed us.

The Importance of Food and Nutrients:

We all know food gives us energy, but do we really eat for energy or just for taste?

Every morning, our breakfast should be protein rich eggs, sprouts, milk, nuts, or green vegetables. Protein is not just for muscles, it’s for our cells. Our body makes new cells daily  in skin, hair, blood  and those new cells need protein like how a builder needs bricks to make a house.

Many of us give only rice, idli, and dosa to our kids in the morning, thinking they are full. But that’s not enough. Our children’s growing bodies are like small factories  they need protein to grow stronger and sharper.

Our teacher gave one beautiful example:
If a snake enters our house, what we do? We even call unknown people for help to remove it. That’s how English medicine works  it invites outsiders to fix the problem temporarily. But traditional or natural foods, like fruits and vegetables, act from inside  they clean, repair, and protect us naturally.

Why Natural Vitamins Are Better Than Tablets:

Take Vitamin C, for example. One small gooseberry (nellikai) has more Vitamin C than a full capsule. When you eat it raw, your body absorbs it naturally. But when you take it as a tablet, your body struggles  it takes some, and throws out the rest.

Our grandparents never used multivitamin bottles. They used to eat greens, drumstick leaves, amla, curry leaves, lemon, guava, and tamarind  all these have natural Vitamin C, calcium, and iron. That’s why they stayed healthy even without hospitals or tonics.

Omega-3: The Magic Oil for Our Cells:

Another important thing we learned was Omega-3. I didn’t know before that this small nutrient is so powerful! Omega-3 keeps our heart clean, our brain sharp, and our skin glowing. It also helps reduce body pain and inflammation. You can get it from fish, walnuts, flax seeds, chia seeds, and eggs.

Every day we should take little Omega-3 rich food  even one spoon flaxseed powder or a small piece of fish is enough.
If our cells get enough Omega-3, they work like happy soldiers protecting us from diseases.

Fruits and Vegetables, The Natural Medicine:

People often say, “Doctor gave me strong medicine, I’ll be fine soon.” But what about the food you eat every day? If we don’t give our body the nutrients it needs, even strong medicines can’t help for long.

Try this eat one seasonal fruit daily. Add one handful of greens in your lunch. Avoid too much fried, packed or sugary foods. Slowly, your body will start thanking you  through clear skin, strong energy, and peaceful sleep.

Remember, when the body is healthy, the mind automatically feels happy.

Fun Facts About Our Cells and Food:

  • Our body has around 37 trillion cells, and every second, millions of them are dying and millions are born again.
  • Your skin replaces itself fully every 27 days.
  • Your stomach lining renews every 5 days so whatever you eat directly decides how healthy your gut stays.
  • Gooseberry has 20 times more Vitamin C than an orange.
  • Curry leaves are not just for aroma  they help the liver stay clean and strong.

Our Choices Decide Our Health:

When we eat carelessly. skipping breakfast, eating late-night snacks, or munching chips, our cells suffer silently. After a few years, we start seeing the results as fatigue, hair fall, skin dullness, or even lifestyle diseases.

But the good news is our body forgives us quickly! If we start today, eating right, sleeping early, and drinking enough water, the body begins healing within days.

Just like how we service our car regularly, we must “service” our body with good food, exercise, and peace of mind.

Final Words: Love Your Cells, They Love You Back:

Today’s class made me realize  our body is truly a divine machine. Every organ, every cell, every breath  all are working 24x7 only for us. When we feed our body with real food. greens, fruits, pulses, fish, nuts. it says “thank you” by keeping us disease-free and energetic.

Let’s make a small promise today
To eat natural, live simple, and care for our inner world of cells.
Because as our teacher said beautifully,

“When the body is healthy, the soul shines bright.”

So friends, next time before popping a vitamin tablet, just think  maybe one small amla or a handful of greens can do better!
